Community Involvement

The Office of the Auditor General lends its resources and talents in support of several community organizations.

We contribute to the Provincial Employees Community Services Fund (PECSF) annually, and most years we are acknowledged as a top contributor. In the 2018 PECSF campaign, staff raised or pledged $25,599 through fundraisers and payroll deductions for the 2019 calendar year. The office also reviews PECSF’s financial statements every year at no charge.

Other annual fundraising activities include Halloween mini-golf, a holiday gift auction, the Red Cross blood drive, and the CNIB Eye Appeal Art Event. Approximately 20 staff members assist with the accounting, art auction and planning of the CNIB event.

In addition to these workplace-sponsored contributions, we value and celebrate our staff who donate their time and professional skills to many not-for-profit organizations on their own time.
