Peter Bourne

Peter Bourne is an Executive Director, Financial Audit. He also has responsibility for the audit of WorkSafeBC, and maintains audit oversight of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia.

Peter has been with the Office of the Auditor General for over 21 years. He has been involved with the audits of a number of public sector organizations, including government ministries, Crown corporations, universities, health authorities, the BC Investment Management Corporation, and the predecessor to the BC Pension Corporation. Over that time he has provided his clients with advice on numerous issues related to financial accounting and reporting, as well as financial management and controls.

Peter is a Chartered Accountant, and also holds the Certified Internal Auditor designation. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC, and the Institute of Internal Auditors. Peter also has a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from the University of Victoria.
