Morris Sydor
Morris Sydor is the Assistant Auditor General responsible for the office’s Sustainability and Environment Audit Portfolio.
Morris has a Master of Business Administration and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1977. He joined the Office of the Auditor General in 1978 after several years of experience with a national accounting firm. Initially, he focused on financial statement auditing, but by the mid-1980s, was involved primarily with performance audits. Since then he has led performance audits in many areas, including natural resources, environment, health services and governance. He has also led presentations on the office and its work to boards and at national conferences. He is currently responsible for performance audits focussing on sustainability and environment.
In addition to his professional activities, Morris has been active in the local community, having served on the boards of several non-profit organizations.
