Brian Jones

Brian is a Chartered Accountant and has been with the office for 25 years. Brian has been involved with a wide range of financial statement audits, across all sectors. Brian also developed a specialty in performance reporting and authored the Office's internationally recognized series of reports 'Enhancing Accountability for Performance.'

With experience in both financial and performance audit, Brian headed up the Professional Practices group when it first became a separate entity in the Office in 2000. The Professional Practices group helps to ensure auditors apply appropriate audit standards to their work. Brian is instrumental in developing and maintaining national and international contacts in the professional practices area. These connections help to ensure the office remains a leader and an important contributor in the public sector accounting environment.

Brian enjoys spending time in the mountains and traveling to exotic places.
